THE PROJECT

We were asked to complete a full measured building survey and external topographical survey of this vacant office building near Newbury. The aim of the survey was to produce survey drawings to aid with the alterations of the offices for a new tenant.

THE SOLUTION

We completed the survey of the building using a Leica RTC 360 laser scanner which enabled the building to be surveyed quickly and accurately. The external topographical survey was carried out using a Leica TS16. A control network was established using black and white targets that enabled us to combine the topographical and point cloud surveys to produce the floor plans and elevations.

THE RESULTS

The final measured building survey drawings were extracted from the point cloud and supplied as 2D Autocad files.
